General refresher course information:
  • Cost includes course text

  • Course fees are due on or prior to the first night of class. Fees not received by the first night of class will be invoiced at $50.00 above published course fee.

  • For participants who are interested in repeating the same refresher for a second time within the last two years, the fee is reduced to ½ of the current fee and no new materials will be purchased. This only applies if the B.O.K. has not been updated

  • Recertification units are awarded based on course length

  • A minimum class size may be invoked

  • Scientific calculators may be required - students are expected to provide their own scientific calculator

Certified Quality Auditor Refresher Course
Description: A 20-hour course designed to provide an overview of the function, theory, practice and techniques of the Quality Auditor and based on the ASQ-CQA Body of Knowledge. Notes: Student must provide their own scientific calculator. Students are required to attend a minimum of seven sessions to receive a certificate of completion. A minimum class size may be invoked.  Prerequisite for certification: At least eight years of higher education and/or work experience.
 
 
Certified Quality Engineer Refresher Course
A 24-hour course designed to provide an overview of the function, theory, practice and techniques of the Quality Engineer and based on the ASQ-CQE Body of Knowledge. Students should have a strong working knowledge of Algebra and be familiar with the Quality Profession. The course offers the opportunity to learn the language and practice the basic concepts of statistics. Emphasis will be on basic concepts and practical application as related to the exam and everyday use.  The course will provide training and practical problem solving experience as a supplement to rigorous self-study. Notes: Students are required to attend a minimum of six sessions to receive a certificate of completion. A minimum class size may be invoked. A scientific calculator is required.

 

 

Certified Quality Six Sigma Green Belt Refresher Course

A 24-hour course designed to provide an overview of the function, theory, practice and techniques of the Quality Six Sigma Green Belt and based on the ASQ-CQSSGB Body of Knowledge. The Six Sigma Green Belt operates in support of or under the supervision of a Six Sigma Black Belt, analyzes and solves quality problems and is involved in quality improvement projects. A Green Belt is someone with at least three years of work experience who wants to demonstrate his or her knowledge of Six Sigma tools and processes.  Students should have a strong working knowledge of Algebra and be familiar with the Quality Profession.  The course offers the opportunity to learn the language and practice the basic concepts of statistics. Emphasis will be on basic concepts and practical application as related to the exam and everyday use.  The course will provide training and practical problem solving experience as a supplement to rigorous self-study.

 

 
A 29-hour course designed to provide an overview of the function, theory, practice and techniques of the Certified Quality Technician and Certified Quality Inspector and based on the ASQ – CQT Body of Knowledge / CQI Body of Knowledge. Students should have a strong working knowledge of Algebra and be familiar with the Quality Profession. The Certified Quality Technician is a paraprofessional who, in support of and under the direction of quality engineers or supervisors, analyzes and solves quality problems, prepares inspection plans and instructions, selects sampling plan applications, prepares procedures, trains inspectors, performs audits, analyzes quality costs and other quality data, and applies fundamental statistical methods for process conof the Certified Quality Technician and Certified Quality Inspector and based on the ASQ – CQT Body of Knowledge / CQI Body of Knowledge. The Certified Quality Inspector is an inspector who, in support of and under the direction of quality engineers, supervisors, or technicians, can use the proven techniques included in the body of knowledge. Under professional direction, the Quality Inspector evaluates hardware documentation, performs laboratory procedures, inspects products, measures process performance, records data and prepares formal reports.

 Emphasis will be on basic concepts and practical application as related to the exam and everyday use.  The course will provide training and practical problem solving experience as a supplement to rigorous self-study
 
 
 

Certified Six Sigma Black Belt Refresher Course

 A 30-hour course designed to provide an overview of the function, theory, practice and techniques of the Six Sigma Black Belt and based on the ASQ – SSBB Body of Knowledge. Students should have a strong working knowledge of Algebra and be familiar with the Quality Profession. The Certified Six Sigma Black Belt is a professional who can explain Six Sigma philosophies and principles, including supporting systems and tools. A Black Belt should demonstrate team leadership, understand team dynamics and assign team member roles and responsibilities. Black Belts have a thorough understanding of all aspects of the DMAIC model in accordance with Six Sigma principles. They have basic knowledge of Lean enterprise concepts, are able to identify non-value-added elements and activities and are able to use specific tools. Emphasis will be on basic concepts and practical application as related to the exam and everyday use.  The course will provide training and practical problem solving experience as a supplement to rigorous self-study.
 
 

Certified Quality Improvement Associate Refresher Course

A 24-hour course designed to provide an overview of the function, theory, practice and techniques of the Quality Improvement Associate and based on the ASQ-CQIA Body of Knowledge.
 
 
A 30-hour course designed to provide an overview of the function, theory, practice and techniques of the Certified Manage of Quality / Organizational Excellence and based on the ASQ – CQM/OE Body of Knowledge Students should have a strong working knowledge of the Quality Profession.  The Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence is a professional who leads and champions process-improvement initiatives—everywhere from small businesses to multinational corporations—that can have regional or global focus in a variety of service and industrial settings. A Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence facilitates and leads team efforts to establish and monitor customer/supplier relations, supports strategic planning and deployment initiatives, and helps develop measurement systems to determine organizational improvement. The Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence should be able to motivate and evaluate staff, manage projects and human resources, analyze financial situations, determine and evaluate risk and employ knowledge management tools and techniques in resolving organizational challenges. Emphasis will be on basic concepts and practical application as related to the exam and everyday use.  The course will provide training and practical problem solving experience as a supplement to rigorous self-study.
 
 

Certified Quality Process Analyst Refresher Course

A 29-hour course designed to provide an overview of the function, theory, practice and techniques of the Certified Process Analyst and based on the ASQ-CQPA Body of Knowledge. The Certified Quality Process Analyst is a paraprofessional who, in support of and under the direction of quality engineers or supervisors, analyzes and solves quality problems and is involved in quality improvement projects. A Certified Quality Process Analyst may be a recent graduate or someone with work experience who wants to demonstrate his or her knowledge of quality tools and processes.
