Overview of Roles/Responsibilities: Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance to support product development of medical devices in an environment that embraces teamwork, change, risk-based decision making and flexibility.
Qualifications: Education/Experience: Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline, minimum 5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have direct experience related to design control. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.Effective verbal skills. Ability to apply mathematics to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Computer Skills: Word processing, Spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail, Manufacturing software, Database software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support and lead Design Control activities for new product development(e.g. risk management, FMEA, etc.)
- Develop and/or review of product/process development documentation
- Setup and Perform Experimental design and Statistical Analysis
- Review and audit design/process history files and documentation for compliance to Medical Device standards and regulations
- Provide support for the Quality System requirements including Internal and External Audits of a Quality Systems
- Develop, review, and approve product drawings and changes
- Possess initiative and ability to work both independently and as a team member

Essential Duties:
- Perform1st piece, in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges and CMM equipment according to AS 9100 procedures.
- Perform incoming inspection tasks according to AS 9100 procedures.
- Perform final inspection and shipping tasks according to AS 9100 procedures.
- Ensure the quality of all material meets customer specifications through applicable quality policies, procedures and instructions.

Suggested Qualifications:

- Ability to read/write in English and perform basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
